Professional: Dr. Robert Woodcock is a lecturer in management, leadership, and ethics at Pepperdine Graziadio School of Business, serves as the school’s Spiritual Life Officer, and is an external consultant to business and community. Robert’s expertise is in the application of strengths-based leadership for individual and organizational transformation, team design and higher function, and emotional intelligence, all as the transformational additives in personal and leadership growth and team success.

Robert’s education includes Bachelors in Behavioral Science, University of Maine; M.A. in Religious Studies, Continental Theological Seminary, Brussels, Belgium; D. Min. Transformational Leadership, Ashland University; Certificates in Mediation and Dispute Resolution through the Straus Institute of Dispute Resolution/Pepperdine School of Law; Certificate in Spiritual Direction through the Kairos School of Spiritual Formation; Certificate in Formational Counseling through the Institute of Formational Counseling; Citizens Police Academy, Lancaster PA; Volunteers On Patrol Academy, Los Angeles Sheriff’s Dept.

Robert is a private pilot with single engine land and sea and aerobatic training, enjoys the outdoors, especially the mountains & ocean, travel, time with his adult sons, and serving as a Volunteer on Patrol for the Los Angeles Sherriff’s Department Malibu/Lost Hills station.

Robert is the father of two grown sons, both entrepreneurs. His oldest son Stephen is an Attorney who now works in real estate and leads an NGO in support of local artists in the Ann Arbor, MI area. His younger son Micah lives in Maine and owns/operates Atlantic Holdfast Seaweed Company, harvesting and marketing edible seaweeds, and serves as an educator-at-large in sustainable aquaculture.

Why I Love What I Do: In the face of so many global social and environmental challenges, I am hopeful for the future when I see leaders and teams in corporate and education deepen their self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and authenticity. Up Close & Personal: Flying is one of my great loves. I am inspired by the exhilarating freedom of flight over the stunning ocean and mountains of S. California, and the occasional loop and spin! I am also a Grecophile. I lived in Greece for 15 years working and traveling extensively in Europe and becoming fluent in the modern Greek language.
