Professional: Michael holds degrees in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Communication Science, Biblical Studies, and a Masters in Communication and Leadership from Gonzaga University. He is an alumnus of the Townsend Leadership Institute and is now an adjunct professor in the Townsend Institute for Leadership and Counseling at Concordia University, Irvine.
Certifications include CoreClarity, Action Learning, and Sherpa Executive Coach. He is also comfortable using the DiSC and MBTI assessments.
After serving in the Army National Guard he toured in various bands, even a Chinese pop band, before taking a role training musicians to communicate more effectively. He honed his teaching and communication skills as he grew into executive-level leadership roles. In addition to serving as a Leadership Development Specialist, he is an adjunct professor and consultant to non-profit and multinational corporations, as well as Fortune 500 companies as a consultant at StrategyWorx. After 33 years in the non-profit sector, he started his own company, Anderson Leadership Resources. Michael’s experience living overseas allows him to be comfortable working in multi-national and international settings.

Up Close & Personal: Michael is a coma survivor who wants to get everything out of life that he can get and help others to do the same. He is a husband of one and father of four, marathoner, professional drummer, published photographer, electrical engineer, communication trainer and public speaker, adjunct professor, and crazy enough to ride his motorcycle all year round. Michael has visited all 50 states and plans on visiting all 7 continents – 5 down 2 to go.
