In his consulting practice, Bill works in a variety of settings including people and program valuations, community capacity building, and organizational change and renewal. Bill also assists social profit organizations in the development of self-generated revenue streams by taking advantage of social entrepreneurship opportunities and innovative financing schemes. In addition, he works with groups and organizations seeking to develop community capacity and establish most promising practices.

Prior to joining IPI in 2010, Bill had worked as an independent consultant for seven years. Previously, he worked in the social profit sector for 22 years, including nine as the executive director of a medium-sized social profit organization in the Vancouver, B.C. area. He has a BSW from the University of Victoria, an MBA from Simon Fraser University and extensive training in appreciative processes, negotiation, mediation, and conflict resolution.

Up Close & Personal: When he is not working, Bill can be found relaxing at home in Surrey, B.C. with his wife, Cindy, their daughter, Keely, and their adorable rescue dog, Jessie.
